Indie distributor Neon has snapped up worldwide rights to Clarissa, a captivating modern adaptation of Virginia Woolf's Mrs. Dalloway, starring powerhouse talents Sophie Okonedo as the titular society woman and David Oyelowo as Peter. The film, directed by Nigerian twin filmmakers Arie and Chuko Esiri, was shot on 35mm in vibrant Lagos and Delta State, infusing classic literary themes of memory, regret, and resilience with authentic Nigerian energy.
Joining the stellar cast are rising stars Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), India Amarteifio (Queen Charlotte), Toheeb Jimoh (Ted Lasso/Industry), and Nikki Amuka-Bird.
