About

Rebeccah Oluwatoyin (Worship) Mokuolu is a vibrant storyteller born in Nigeria, weaving together the bold rhythms of Yoruba heritage and the resilient spirit of the Igbo tribe. With dual citizenship in Nigeria and the United States, she now calls the sun-soaked, island charm of Galveston, Texas, home—where ocean breezes inspire her endless creativity.

A passionate devotee of the color yellow, Rebeccah sees it as more than a shade:

"When you look at plant life, you see that most living things must pass through the color yellow before completely expiring. The thin line between life and death—Grace."

This poetic insight into grace mirrors her own deeply introspective soul, guiding her through life's twists with quiet strength and profound wisdom.

Raised on the epic dramas of Nollywood films, Rebeccah's childhood in Nigeria and later Houston—after attending Sharpstown High School and later Southwestern Illinois College—was filled with larger-than-life tales that ignited her love for African narratives. In 2012, that fire led her to launch the Nollywood Spotlight Blog, a shining platform celebrating the heart and hustle of Nigerian cinema.

After an transformative eight-year pause, during which she poured her energy into spiritual growth—leading choir projects and media teams across three churches—Rebeccah returned to blogging with fresh vision and deeper insight into life, humanity, and Nollywood's captivating stories.

Today, she's not just a blogger but a published author and screenplay writer making waves. In 2025, she released her first two enchanting Nigerian romance novels, Misfit and Grace in the Details, full of unconventional love, family drama, and heartfelt redemption. She's also crafted compelling scripts like Emeka Fine Stitches and The Land Never Forgets, bringing fresh voices to the screen.
