Aaron Pierre Leads Explosive Revival of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest" at London’s Old Vic

Aaron Pierre electrifies LIVE as McMurphy in Old Vic's immersive "One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest" revival, Apr-May 2026.

Nollywood fans, brace yourselves: Aaron Pierre (Rebel Ridge, Mufasa: The Lion King, and recently GOAT) takes center stage as the defiant Randle P. McMurphy in a bold, in-the-round revival of Ken Kesey’s countercultural masterpiece, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Directed by Clint Dyer, this powerful new staging—adapted by Dale Wasserman—reignites the novel’s raw spirit, exploring rebellion, oppression, colonialism, and the fight to reclaim humanity in a suffocating psychiatric ward.

Joining Pierre are Michelle Gomez (Green Wing, The Flight Attendant) as the chilling Nurse Ratched and Olivier winner Giles Terera (Hamilton, Othello) as Dale Harding. Expect to be shocked, heartbroken, and drawn into the heart of the action as McMurphy’s arrival sparks defiance against an iron-fisted system.

Running April 1 to May 23, 2026 at the iconic Old Vic Theatre, with previews from April 1–14, this limited engagement is already buzzing as a must-see event of the year. Age guidance: 14+.
