Diverting a portion of his personal campaign funds, Dumelo addressed the students' desperate plea for relief from a weeks-long water shortage. The future Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentarian posted a video showcasing the swift response by himself and his team, commenting,
"I responded to the plight of students on Legon campus today with regards to the water shortage. I hope this gesture will mitigate the situation till we find a permanent solution...."
