ENIFF 7 brings 54 films and new-media works to Enugu in November 2026, connecting festival discovery with year-round training, mentorship and wider access.
The Eastern Nigeria International Film Festival is offering audiences more than another crowded screening calendar. ENIFF 7 will bring 54 films and new-media works to Enugu from November 18–21, 2026, while connecting its four-day programme to year-round efforts supporting emerging filmmakers and wider access to screen-industry opportunities.
Registration is now open for the festival at Nile Cinema. For Nollywood followers, film students and independent creators, the event provides a focused discovery route into Nigerian and international work that may sit outside mainstream theatrical and streaming conversations.
Four narrative features lead a broad selection
ENIFF’s official selection covers eight categories, spanning narrative films, documentaries, animation, Women in Film, Impact Film and New Media spotlights.
The four narrative features are Dead Tide, Henna, The First Dinosaur and Architects of Misfortune. Three are Nigerian productions, giving local filmmakers a significant presence within the feature lineup while placing their work alongside international independent cinema.
The variety matters for viewers looking beyond familiar releases. Rather than limiting discovery to one format or genre, the selection creates space for features, shorts and emerging screen forms to share the same festival platform.
ENIFF 7 extends beyond screenings
Filmmaker conversations and workshops are also planned, alongside the European Union Showcase, Spanish Cinema Showcase and Film Lab Africa activities. These strands give audiences additional reasons to attend while creating opportunities for students, filmmakers and industry professionals to exchange ideas.
That Community dimension is central to ENIFF’s identity. The festival is the flagship event of the Eastern Nigeria Film & Arts Initiative, whose wider work includes training, mentorship and creative-development programmes designed to expand access to screen careers, particularly for emerging talent in Southeast Nigeria.
Why Enugu’s creative connections matter
For actors, writers, directors and producers, festivals can function as meeting points where a screening becomes a conversation, a workshop or a future collaboration. ENIFF’s combination of public exhibition and year-round development makes its seventh edition relevant beyond the films selected for November.
The full daily screening timetable has not yet been announced, but the confirmed 54-work lineup already gives prospective attendees a starting point. By linking international showcases with Nigerian films and practical development programmes, ENIFF 7 is positioning Enugu as a place to discover new work and strengthen the relationships that help African screen stories move forward.
