A 41-year-old fashion designer, a younger musician and a romance everyone has an opinion about: ITORO! The Musical brings love, gossip and second chances to Terra Kulture this Christmas.
Love has found Itoro Pascal again. Unfortunately, so has everybody else’s opinion.
She is 41, a fashion designer, and falling for a rising musician more than a decade younger than her. He is Kunle “K-Star” Irawo—and their romance is at the heart of ITORO! The Musical, coming to Terra Kulture Arena this festive season.
The premise alone could start an argument at Christmas dinner: when a woman finds happiness with a younger man, why does everyone suddenly become an expert on her life?
A younger lover, a wealthier suitor and one complicated heart
Itoro’s dilemma goes beyond an age gap.
According to the official event synopsis, her relationship with K-Star unfolds amid gossip, judgment and her own doubts. Meanwhile, an older, wealthier suitor offers another possibility—one that might look more reassuring to the people watching from the sidelines.
But Itoro is the one who must live with her choice.
The story sets up a woman caught between passion and propriety, confronting what she wants alongside her fears about age, desire and reputation. That gives this romance a compelling question: how much happiness are we willing to sacrifice to keep other people comfortable?
Would everyone be talking if the ages were reversed?
That is the conversation this premise invites.
An older man dating a younger woman can barely raise an eyebrow in some circles. Reverse the arrangement, and suddenly there are questions about motives, maturity and whether the relationship could possibly last.
ITORO! offers fertile ground for those debates. Can Itoro trust her feelings? Does financial security make another partner the better choice? And when does sensible advice become pressure to abandon the life she actually wants?
Terra Kulture describes the production as a musical blending wit and emotion with themes of love and second chances. Judging by the story’s central conflict, audiences may leave with plenty to discuss on the journey home.

Would you follow your heart—or play it safe?
Itoro’s story has the ingredients for a lively night at the theatre: an unexpected romance, an appealing alternative and a woman trying to hear her own heart over the noise around her.
Perhaps the most interesting question is whether we will cheer for her freedom—or catch ourselves judging her choices.
