Nollywood icon Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has opened up about a recent health scare that led to an emergency gallbladder removal surgery. Sharing her journey on Instagram, the celebrated actress expressed profound gratitude for surviving the ordeal and reclaiming her health.

Omotola revealed that she had endured weeks of debilitating symptoms, including severe chest and back pain, nausea, and stomach distress, leading to three emergency room visits. Initially misdiagnosed with high blood pressure and acid reflux, it wasn’t until her third ER visit that doctors discovered her gallbladder was dangerously dilated, necessitating immediate surgery.

In an emotional post, she recounted the harrowing experience of being told by doctors that nothing more could be done at one point. Despite this, she held onto hope and sought further medical attention, which ultimately saved her life.
