Nollywood News: Mother’s Bargain Surpasses 12.6 Million YouTube Views

Mother’s Bargain has passed 12.6 million YouTube views, with Chinenye Nnebe and Emeka Ike leading the hit family drama on Uchenna Mbunabo TV.

Mother’s Bargain has joined Nollywood’s growing 10-million-view club, giving audiences another clear example of the reach available to feature-length Nigerian films released free on YouTube. Led by Chinenye Nnebe and Emeka Ike, the family drama has recorded more than 12.6 million views on Uchenna Mbunabo TV.

The official upload had 12,641,002 views and 143,000 likes when verified on October 6, 2026. Those figures place the film among the year’s notable YouTube performers, although the total represents cumulative plays rather than unique viewers.

A family drama finds a large YouTube audience

Mother’s Bargain premiered on July 1, 2026, and runs for two hours and 55 minutes. Chinenye Nnebe stars as Adaora, with Emeka Ike playing Chief Coker and Charity Onah appearing as Adaora’s mother, Felicia.

The story explores poverty, family pressure and generational trauma while placing romantic choice against the promise of financial security. That combination gives the film a recognisable emotional framework built around what families may demand, what survival can cost and how love is understood under pressure.

Ben Cassie directed the film from a screenplay by Chioma Akpan. Uchenna Mbunabo served as executive producer under the One & Two Films banner.

Mother’s Bargain maintained its chart momentum

The film’s performance extends beyond one viral moment. FilmFlux tracked four consecutive weekly Top 10 appearances for Mother’s Bargain, with the drama reaching a peak position of No. 2. The platform also selected it as its best Nollywood movie of July 2026.

At the time of FilmFlux’s snapshot, Mother’s Bargain was listed as the third-most-viewed film on Uchenna Mbunabo TV. That sustained chart presence suggests audiences continued discovering the movie after its initial release window.

What the milestone means for Nollywood on YouTube

For actors, filmmakers and producers, the result reinforces YouTube’s role as an important discovery and distribution platform for Nigerian screen entertainment. A nearly three-hour family drama attracting more than 12.6 million plays also shows that online audiences can commit to long-form stories when the cast, themes and emotional stakes connect.

As Nollywood News increasingly includes measurable digital milestones, Mother’s Bargain stands out as a strong 2026 audience success—and another film for viewers tracking the industry’s biggest free-to-watch releases.
