Today, we pause with reverence and reflection as we mourn the passing of Pope Francis (1936–2025)—a humble servant, a bridge-builder, and a global symbol of compassion and faith.

As the first Jesuit pope, the first from the Americas, and a true voice from the Global South, Pope Francis broke barriers and reminded the world of the power of unity in diversity. His life was a living message of mercy, simplicity, and justice. Whether advocating for the poor, championing peace, or extending grace across religious lines, he led with a heart wide open to humanity.

In his words,

“Hope speaks to us of a thirst, an aspiration, a longing for a life of fulfillment, a desire to achieve great things.”

May we carry that hope forward.

As we respectfully honor his legacy, let us also be inspired to lead lives rooted in kindness, faith, and courage—no matter our platform or calling.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to illuminate our path.
